Coupons

Coupons are exclusive offers that guests can only get by opening their property guide. They drive foot traffic from travelers who are otherwise hard to reach. You only pay a small commission per actual redemption — no upfront cost.

How a coupon works end-to-end

Creating a coupon

When you book a slot you can also activate a coupon. Tap the coupon toggle in the booking modal and fill in:

  • Title: short, e.g. "15% off your dinner" or "Free welcome drink"
  • Description: what guests need to do to redeem
  • Type: percent off / fixed amount / free item
  • Optional terms: minimum spend, valid days, valid hours, max party size, included/excluded items

One coupon per person rule

Each guest activates the coupon individually from their own device. If they're traveling in a group, every person needs to scan and activate their own coupon. You verify each activation separately (or auto-confirm them all in 48h).

Commission per redemption

You only pay when a coupon is actually redeemed. Default minimums:

You can offer more if you want to be ranked higher in the guide listing. The owner sees the commission and can prioritize your card.

Confirmation modes

Choose how you want to confirm redemptions when booking:

  • Daily summary (recommended): one email at 22:00 with all the day's redemptions. Auto-confirmed in 48h if you do nothing.
  • Real-time email: instant email per redemption with confirm/dispute buttons.
  • Manual review: no emails, you check a permanent dashboard whenever. Auto-confirmed in 7 days.

Disputing a fraudulent redemption

If a guest activated a coupon but didn't actually visit your business (e.g. they were too far away and the geo-verification missed it), you can dispute it. From the metrics modal, find the redemption and tap Dispute. It won't be billed.

We protect you against fraud

Every coupon activation is geo-verified: the guest's phone must be within 5 km of your business when they activate. Plus, you have 48h to dispute. Plus, we set a monthly cap (default 30 redemptions/slot) so you can't get a runaway bill.

Best practices

  • Make the offer real. Travelers smell fake discounts.
  • Keep it simple. "10% off" converts better than "Buy 2 get 1 third 50% off".
  • Include your contact info in the business profile so guests can call/book directly.
  • Honor the coupon politely. Word of mouth from happy travelers beats any ad.
