Self-billing mandate
This page reproduces the exact text of the self-billing mandate that property owners accept during onboarding. It has legal value as written consent under EU and US tax practice.
The mandate text
By accepting, you authorize G-HAT LLC (the legal entity operating StayLocalX) to issue self-billed invoices on your behalf for the 70% revenue share you receive from the platform. You agree not to issue your own invoice for the same supplies. This mandate is required to receive payouts and can be revoked at any time by contacting support. You confirm you have read the Terms & Conditions, including the tax-responsibility clause: you remain solely responsible for declaring this income to your local tax authority.
What you're agreeing to
- G-HAT LLC issues invoices on your behalf. Each month you receive a self-billed invoice (PDF) that documents the 70% you earned the previous month. The invoice has full legal status as a tax document.
- You don't issue your own invoice for the same supplies. This is a core requirement of self-billing arrangements: the supplier (you) and the customer (G-HAT LLC) cannot both issue invoices for the same transaction.
- The mandate is revocable. You can cancel it at any time by emailing support. After cancellation, future payouts will be paused until an alternative invoicing arrangement is agreed.
- Your tax obligations remain yours. The platform is your customer, not your tax agent. You declare the income to your local tax authority according to your country's rules.
What G-HAT LLC commits to
- Issue self-billed invoices on time, on the 1st of each month, for the previous calendar month
- Use accurate data: business name, address, country code, tax ID (if business) — all from the form you completed
- Apply the correct tax label depending on your jurisdiction (reverse charge for EU B2B, out of scope for individuals or non-EU)
- Send the PDF by email and store it in your account for future download
- Pay you the corresponding amount via Stripe Connect within the same month

How to revoke
Send an email to hello@staylocalx.com with the subject "Revoke self-billing mandate". Include your account email so we can verify it's really you. We'll confirm within one business day and pause future payouts until you provide us with invoices in your own format (or set up a different arrangement).
